   I do know know the answer to your question but a family member had 17.25% on his truck loan. Good question!

   there’s no legal limit; you have the option not to take the loan if the interest is too high

   It depends on the state. In Texas the optional rate ceiling is 18% simple interest. There are also add-on rates and cars are broken into class 1-4 depending on how old they are. Class 3 and 4 cars can be above 18%.
