   try your local banks first. Mortgage companies often sell mortgage notes. meaning you may not always be sending your checks to the same place. that may make it harder to contact the note holder if there is a problem.

   Check your local newspaper and call different companies for rates. I was in the mortgage business for many years, banks tend to have higher rates.

   Try LengingTree. Then take your best deal to your local bank. If your credit is THAT good, your local bank should want to get your business.
