Well I NEED a laptop for college this fall. Problem is, I will be getting a check from my federal student loan in late Oct, and I need the laptop in september.

I have no credit.

My parents have bad credit.

I cannot ask anyone to cosign/finance the laptop.

I will not buy a cheap laptop.

Not borrowing one.

Dont tell me its a bad idea.

I just want some suggestions on loan companies. Please no payday loan people. This will most likely be taken out from one of my parents. My dad does make a lot of money (94k+) but is in no shape to lay out the money.

Hope I actually get a useful answer.

My dad just got his job, and we have been having finacial problems for a while anyway.

I said it before, NO ONE I know can lend me the money.

And YES I need a laptop for around that much. It would be pointless to spend any less and hope it to last throughout my schooling.

I haven’t actually taken out the federal student loan yet (I dont need credit for it, 5,500 for sure) so im not sure if I could work out a deal with a bank. Would they even do that? I doubt it.
I would only be able to do like a $100 down payment

There has to be someone out there that will help a family that has bad credit. My husband is disable, and i lost my job when the man that i was sitting with died June the 11th. I have even tried the payday loans and because i don’t have a job no one will help. i have my husbands disability check as income. if any one knows anything i can do please e-mail me at tlbradley74@yahoo.com

Whats the difference between taking auto tech at a community college and taking it at a trade school?

The trade school is fancy and claims to have all these bells and whistles but i am concerned that I won’t be able to use it to get a job afterwards. The recruiter for the trade school danced around all my questions about credits being transferrable or not and what kind of certification I’ll have coming out of it… instead he wanted to stress that they’d help me find a job afterwards and I’d keep the tools they provide and it counts as 4 years so i could get that much pell grant… I have heard that majority of students from for profit universities end up in default on their loans and can’t find a job and if they do its a not-so-great job. Which one is going to look better on my resume?
the recruiter for the for profit trade school wouldn’t even answer me when i asked if he made a comission on recruiting students!
I did plan on furthering my education afterwards. This step is just so that I can support myself on one full time job afterwards instead of the 3 part time ones i’m doing now. I want to go beyond this afterwards into something like designing engines.

School Loan consolidation?

I consolidated my school loans during my 4th year of college. I still had one year of school left after that. So now I have two loan payments that equal $200 a month. I just started paying them three months ago…is there any way I can get the payments lower than that?

Help needed quickly! Are there any groups that will help with school loans and debts?

My younger sister graduated from college a few years ago but is not able to pay back school loans especially now that she has a child. Myself and our family isn’t in the position to help financially so we’re at a lost.

Are there any consolidation groups (like there is for credit card debt) that can help lower her payments and work with her to figure out a budget? Thank you very much!

Which is better to pay off sooner: school loan or auto loan?

Looking to make more than the minimum payments on my debt and not sure where to put it to save the most money in the long run.

School loan is a lower balance, low monthly payment with 6.38% interest rate
Auto loan balance is currently higher balance, higher monthly payment with 5.64% interest rate.

Payoff, with interest, is showing I’ll pay 2.2 times as much interest on the school loan over the life of the loan, yet the school loan interest is tax deductible.

Should I put extra money towards the car or the school loan?

i have BAD credit and want to go to school. is there any loans for that?? if so how do i get one?
