   I did a refi w/ my own bank. I had a crappy 10% apr w/ Chrysler on my Dodge truck back in 01 & my bank got the last 2 yrs refi’d at 6%. Using your own bank/credit union is best if you’ve had an acct there for a few yrs. You can win points w/ them if you agree to an automatic payment plan from your acct. It rebuilds credit history in record speed. Plus if you have been depositing all your paychecks there, your salary can be easily verified. Just a suggestion.

   If you are upside down on your current loan, it’s not going to happen without a down payment to cover your negative equity–which, seeing the huge number of posts in regards to this subject, odds are you do not have that kind of money..
