I thought there were places that would do my taxes, see what my refund calculates out to, and give me a check the same day and then have my actual refund directly deposited to them (the company) so there was no need to do credit checks, etc., but every place I’ve found so far processes tax refund advances like an actual loan where they perform a credit check and charge interest. Is there any place that will give me my refund right away without the hassle of a credit check? I know for sure I won’t be approved for any type of “loan” and I need the money fast!!! I’ve never had to deal with this before since I’ve always done my own taxes and have never needed the money right away, but this year I’m having some money issues (like almost everyone else in the country) and I need my refund as quickly as possible or my husband, my 2 year old daughter, and my 7-month-pregnant self might be sleeping in a house without electricity for a week until I get paid again. I’m trying to avoid getting a payday loan as I know the interest rates are astronomical for those. HELP!!! I swear there are places that give you an early refund check without credit checks, but I simply cannot find one anywhere online!!

I believe that all of them do it as a loan.
You’re right in thinking they’ll give you the check today but wrong in thinking they won’t require a credit check. The reason for this… The amount of your refund is in NO WAY guaranteed. If the IRS finds an issue with your return and as a result, issues you a refund less than the amount estimated, the company who issues you an advance would be out the $, unless they attempted to pursue collection.
Sorry but no one’s going to give you $ without first ensuring you’re good for it or at the very least, have a history which indicates your credit worthiness is sufficient.

ANY money promised from a tax preparer before the 8-15 day standard IRS time is a LOAN.
No exceptions.
It is actually against the law for a preparer to loan against a refund. It must be done through a financial institution and they check credit.
Call your electric company and ask them for a payment extension or to get on the budget plan. If they say no, call the public service commission, or government office that regulates them, to get an extension.
You also might want to look into fuel assistance benefits if your family makes less than $40,000 a year.
Also, change your withholding so that you get more in your check each week and keep up with the bills rather than relying on a refund. As a rule of thumb, every additional deduction you add to your withholding (like going from married 1 to married 2) will increase your takehome pay about $50 a week.
H&R Block will do it without a credit cheque because they dont make mistakes. But maybe thats just in Canada, not sure where u live.
Nobody is going to lend you money for two weeks without knowing anything about you. And that is what they are doing by giving you your tax refund today. They will not get repaid for two weeks, and not all tax returns gets paid off for a number of reasons – you could owe back taxes, back student loans, back child support – or your return could be full of kids for dependent that are made up. The IRS spends two weeks fully accepting your return so your preparer is loaning you money for two weeks. They will want to know that you are good to pay them back if you have a bogus return submitted. You would do the same if you were lending money.
