Is it legal for the dealer has a hard inquiry on my credit report without my authorization to offer a car loan?

I asked for a quote for Auto Finance Car.com. I realized that one of its participating merchants actually a hard inquiry on my credit report. I do not think I let them do what I know it will adversely affect my credit score. Is this normal if I wanted, just ask for a quote? Should I contest from?

It’s legal, you must understand that the quote a permission for the potential lenders for your financial situation is reviewed. These studies make only 10% of your credit score, and if you are really looking for a car, go ahead and get as many offers as you want during a period of one month b / c all the quote count as an application in the same month.
One can disagree with this if it is so important, but (I’m trying not to sound mean) that this is a lesson any time you could enter any personal information about the i-net, give you enough for this to happen again. There is a reason why they need your social security number. if I get an examination, and they need my name, address and / or phone number, I immediately closed.
be careful. and best wishes to purchase a car.
