applications. I simply thought that you had to click on something surely to agree to the terms and it sort of moduled the loan for you showing how you pay back and so forth ..I filled out 1 application and it said in big bold print “YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR A PREPAID MASTERCARD WITH A 7,500 CREDIT LIMIT” and then in small print it said they would be taking out of my checking account a 1 time fee of 149.95 within 1 business day..WOAH!! HOLD ON.. no way, that’s not what I wanted. It didn’t even give me an option to click on to decline it..I tried to call a 800 # but said it was AFTER HRS and I also sent them an EMAIL telling them not to take that $ from my account..they have my routing number and my acct number because like I said I thought I was seeing what the terms would be for a payday loan..any suggestions??I have direct deposit and I am going to EXPLODE if they take that $ out of my account..
I GOT AN E/MAIL CONFIRMATION THAT SAID TO BE SURE TO DEDUCT THE 149.95 FROM MY ACCOUNT …I TRIED TO E/MAIL THEM BACK AND IT CAME RIGHT BACK TO ME AS AN UNDELIVERABLE MSG. MY ACCOUNT IS BRAND NEW AND I DONT WANT ANY PROBLEMS BUT IT IS MY FAULT FOR FILLING OUT THE INFO THEY ASKED FOR..

I would have to see what you clicked on but it sounds like it said you were qualified, not that it actually processed you for the card. But just to be safe you need to contact your bank tomorrow or monday and make sure no such transaction took place. You might even consider closing the account and establishing a new one . If it did go through file a fraudulent charge report. Most banks will investigate and refund the amount although that can take weeks.
Edit- I read your extra details. Since you went ahead and gave out all your vital bank and personal info you must assume the worst. Contact your bank ASAP and stop it. This is fraud. If they took the money then file a report immediately. And NEVER do an online payday app. again.
And for the record, do NOT do a payday loan. These should be illegal. They will only rip you off with obscene interest rates and endless rollovers with even more criminal interest each week you can’t pay it back. These outfits are predatory scumbags who prey on those who are desperate. Find any way to solve your financial crunch but that.
In addition to talking with your bank to try to stop the transaction before it takes place, you should continue (in the morning) to try to contact the credit card company. I’m pretty sure that you have a certain number of days to change your mind and cancel the agreement. If so, even if they take the money from your account, they will have to refund it within a few business days.
Good luck!
