did you read the fine print? if you are behind with your payments I woudl go and read the contract now.
if you are not behind with payments then what they are doing is wrong, otherwise youve probably given them permission as part of their small print.
Did your friend act as a guarantor for you? If not, the lender has no rights to bother you friends. I suggest you connect with him and work on a repayment plan. There is no getting away from not paying.
By law, they can contact your friends to locate you. They can not discuss info regarding your account. They can not tell your friends that you owe money, how much you owe, that they are going to sue you etc. All they can do is ask for information about you, and ask that they pass on a message to you to call the lender.

Yes it more than likely is in the small print, I would make a call to the company & if you are not in default ask them why they are calling friends.
