Does anyone know if there is a lender/bank who will do a first time AUTO LOAN for a person who has no credit?

I have no credit, i just got a credit card last month.. but I keep getting denied by places because i have no credit. I already have a car picked out, i just need a 12K AUTO loan… anyone know a bank or lender that would approve me for this amount with no credit history in California? The big banks (Wells fargo, chase) and credit unions won’t.

Thanks.

    maybe capital one.
establish credit too fast is a negative.
and too many inquiries in a short period is a negative.
go to the dealership and let them “SHOP”
for you. that is why the finance manager is paid the big bucks !!

Capital One will NOT approve you if you have little to no credit. They will require a cosigner. I know this from first hand experience with my daughter who bought a car using Capital One blank check. She couldn’t get it on her own (even with over a year of credit history and a score in the 700’s) without me as a cosigner.

If you don’t have a cosigner, you may have to resort to a buy here/pay here lot or have to come up with a huge down payment.

Unless you have a sizable down payment, you’re not getting a car loan and all those inquiries are dropping your credit score. Do not inflict co-signing on anyone. They will get stuck with the whole loan if you screw up. That does wonders for your relationship.

Wait and save. Buy something you can actually afford. Buy it with cash.

Financed cars is more expensive to insurance cause it requires full coverage. You can compare how much you would pay for full coverage of this car using this tool – carquotes.sinfree.net
